Emily Bach
Emily joined PILP in 2025 as a Legal and Administrative Assistant. Prior to joining the team, Emily worked at the Alameda County Public Defender’s Office, where she largely assisted clients facing homelessness and housing insecurity. She has supported legal research projects on gender-based housing discrimination, racialized surveillance, and labor rights. Emily previously held fellowships at the Laidlaw Foundation and Vital Voices. She received a B.A. in American Studies with a minor in Mathematical Sciences from Columbia University. Outside of work, she enjoys live jazz, poetry, and spending time outdoors.
