Miye Goishi

Miye Goishi is a founding PILP Board Member and is a Sullivan Clinical Professor of Law at UC College of the Law, San Francisco. She joined the UC College of the Law, San Francisco faculty in 1992 after 11 years of practice in the San Francisco Bay Area public interest community where she specialized in housing work at both Legal Aid of Marin and Contra Costa Legal Services Foundation. In her clinical teaching at UC Law SF, where she specialized in employment issues, she taught her students the importance of trying to understand and bridge ethnic, cultural, socio-economic and other differences between themselves and their clients.  She lives in the SF Bay Area with her wife.  

She grew up in the East Bay community of Livermore and always knew she would return to the Bay Area after school to take advantage of its temperate climate and progressive politics.
